From May 18 to May 19, after two days of tight and intense second-stage audit, NSF finally completed the FSMA VQIP certification audit of Qingdao UZP Foods Processing Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as UZP). During COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to NSF's cutting-edge technology Eyesucceed, this audit was completed under the remote witness of ANSI (American National Standards Institute) official Chris Kelly.

Ann Arbor, April 02, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In early March 2020, Amarex Clinical Research LLC, an NSF International company, executed a rush submission of an emergency use Investigational New Drug (IND) application to add COVID-19 as a new indication for CytoDyn’s monoclonal antibody product, Leronlimab. The product is currently being tested for HIV infection, and oncology indications, and has the potential to modulate the “cytokine storm” sometimes seen in COVID-19 patients.

Did you know that the biosafety cabinet program at NSF International doesn't just certify products? It's true that NSF uses NSF/ANSI Standard 49 to evaluate class II laminar flow biosafety cabinets, but we also have two different accreditation programs for the skilled technicians and service providers who "field test" or "field certify" biosafety cabinets each year. These field certifiers go into hospitals, research facilities, universities and other microbiological and biomedical laboratories to make sure that biosafety cabinets are operating correctly, year after year.
