Infinitus Earns NSF International Certification for Its BeneLife Water Purifiers

Certification to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401 demonstrates compliance to internationally-recognized standards for drinking water treatment system components

[Shanghai] – Infinitus (China) Company Ltd., an important part of LKK Health Products Group,      has earned certification to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401, the American National Standards for drinking water treatment units for its BeneLife water purifiers from global public health organization NSF International.

NSF International facilitated the development of the American National Standards for all chemicals used to treat drinking water and materials/products coming into contact with drinking water. Today, government agencies around the world utilize NSF International standards to verify the safety and performance of water treatment chemicals, pipes and plumbing components and to ensure these products do not leach harmful levels of contaminants into drinking water.

NSF International awarded Infinitus's BeneLife water purifiers a certification medal in Infinitus' product release conference

“NSF International continues to protect and improve public health by certifying products worldwide that help improve the quality of drinking water,” said Rick Andrew, Director of Global Business Development – Water Systems for NSF International. “NSF’s certification of Infinitus’ BeneLife water purifier to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401 means consumers now have a verified solution to reduce a wide variety of potential contaminants that may be present in drinking water, including aesthetic impurities, health-related contaminants and emerging contaminants.”

To earn NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401 certification, Infinitus’ BeneLife water purifier underwent rigorous testing and evaluation to verify the product met requirements for use in treating drinking water. NSF International also audited Infinitus’ manufacturing facility to verify compliance to the standard requirements.

Infinitus’ BeneLife Water Purifier and related marketing materials can now bear the NSF/ANSI 42/53/401 mark and are listed on NSF International’s website: NSF works with state, local and national regulatory authorities to gain recognition and acceptance for the NSF mark.

The R&D director of the BeneLife water purifier said, “We feel honored that our BeneLife water purifier obtained NSF International certification and recognition. Both sides have devoted a lot of efforts. But it was all worth it. Obtaining the certification means that consumer benefits will be better guaranteed. We hope in the near future we can pursue additional certification with NSF to escort the safety and health of drinking water for consumers.”

About NSF International: NSF International is an independent, global organization that facilitates standard and protocol development, and tests and certifies products for the food, water and consumer goods industries to minimize adverse health effects and protect the environment. Founded in 1944, NSF is a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Center on Food Safety, Water Quality and Indoor Environment.

The NSF/ANSI drinking water treatment unit standards require extensive testing to assure products perform according to manufacturer’s claims. This includes testing for contaminant reduction performance and material safety and structural integrity to assure that the products don’t leach harmful levels of contaminants into the water. Additionally, NSF visits the manufacturing location annually to assure consistency in manufacturing and quality over time, and then requires retesting of the products periodically to provide additional assurance of product quality, safety, durability and function.
