Training Course: FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food

On January 4, 2011, US former President Barack Obama signed the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act(short for FSMA) into law, which enabled the Act to be 353th law in 111th congress and has been put into practice. This is a significant revision for the current food safety law -the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD & C Act) - over the past 70 years and also an important change in the US food safety regulatory system.

In September 2015, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published the final version supporting regulation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Regulation: " Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk Based Preventive Controls for Human Food " (21 CRF PART 117, referred to as the Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation". The regulations require that each food factory need a "prevent and control qualified person" who can establish a food safety program.

NSF International launches this training course aiming to help the Chinese enterprises exporting goods to U.S to better grasp the contents and requirements of the supporting regulations. This course developed by the FSPCA is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA, and taught by Lead Instructors trained by the FSPCA, who have been instructed in how to teach the FDA-recognized standardized curriculum.

  • Laura Liu - Division Manager of NSF International’s Health Science Department in China.

Laura was in charge of China food safety and health science project development and implementation, and engaged in international food safety and quality standards training and also participate in Health food, functional drinks and other food supply chain audit and certification. She holds the ISO9001 Qualification Certificate issued by the China Certification and Accreditation Association (CCAA), and has a Quality Assurance (SQF) auditor qualification, she is also a lead instructor of FSPCA.

  • Maggie Zhang - Trainer of NSF International

Maggie is a lead instructor of FSPCA, She is a certified auditor of international standards such as the British Retailers Association (BRC), Safe Quality Food (SQF), International Food Standards (IFS), Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), Social Responsibility Standards SA8000, and has extensive experience in audit.

  • Rong Liang - Audit manager and trainer of NSF International’s Health Science Department in China

Rong has more than 10 years experience in food factory quality management, Currently responsible for GMP certification project audit, training and technical support.

Training certificate:
